Elon Musk is accused of ripping off the futuristic sci-fi look of I, Robot for Tesla’s new robots and vehicles, as highlighted by director Alex Proyas on social media. “Hey Elon, Can I have my designs back please?” he posted alongside photos. Tesla’s robots, including the Optimus humanoid companion priced between $20,000-$30,000 and whose capabilities are yet to be fully explored, were showcased at the recent We, Robot event, where Musk mentioned that they can do ”basically anything you want.” Additionally, the Cybercabs, self-driving two-passenger vehicles also seemingly-inspired by I, Robot, are set to go into production in 2027 with prices up to $30,000.
