Patrick Bertoletti won his first men’s title at the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July hot dog eating contest, devouring 58 hot dogs in 10 minutes. “I wasn’t going to stop eating until the job was done,” he said. Bertoletti defeated 13 competitors from around the world, except for reigning champion Joey Chestnutt, who did not participate this year due to a sponsorship disagreement. It’s the first time someone other than him as won since 2015. In the women’s division, Miki Sudo consumed 51 hot dogs, setting a new world record and securing her 10th title. “I’m just happy to call this mine for another year,” she said. (AP)
